There are different types of Families
Nuclear Families-composed of two biological parents and their children.
Single-Parent Families-A lone parent and offspring living together as a family unit.
Cross-Generational Families-Families who have a family member 65 or older living with them.
Adoptive/Foster Families-Children who are not the biological offspring of their parent or parents. Adoption is permanent, foster care is keeping a child until the child is ready for adoption.
Never -Married Families- Families who Reside together with at least one child inder the age of 18.
Blended Families- A family that includes children of a previous marriage of one spouse not both.
Grandparents as Parents-Grandparents who raise their grandchildren age 18 and under for various reasons
Same-Sex Families -Children who have parents who are the same sex.
